Time is like loose change. it is given to us here below to buy the real things of eternity. Let us use it and teach others, too , to use it well.

Numbers as such do not  glorify God; they do not matter. Do what you can, give of your best even if only a few profit.

Be direct above all ... directness with God, with everyone, with yourself. do you hear ? I said " With yourself "

Gentleness is a necessity for us and we do not remain serene and peaceful unless we have real virtue.

People who don't fuss, who go on faithfully, seem at a casual glance to be accomplishing less, but in reality grace is using them far more easily

We live in an age when priests are few and it is we who have to replace the missing ones. Fill yourself with zeal for religious teaching and the truth of God.

God loves order, He blesses it, He does everything in an orderly way Himself. God is a God of order and His children should be like Him.

Make up your own mind this time. Better mistakes than paralysis.

There was only one road trodden by the saints... you don't get to heaven on wheels. You walk !

We cannot give what we have not got and if we are not filled with the good God we cannot let our fullness overflow into the hearts of those who come to us.

In the schools teach whatever is necessary to equip the students for life.

It is the prayerful lives and self-immolation of religious that obtain the peace and tranquility of nations, the calm happiness of families, and a spirit of content among people.

We must devote ourselves without ceasing to all the interests of Holy Church, and take to heart in a practical way whatever concerns the glory of God.

Pray for much firmness, courage, and perseverance in your principles. Once you are known to do so, the world leaves you in peace and you are right with the good God.

Plenty of energy, but no fuss. You can be very active and yet go gently.

Our Lord said," go teach all nations," so our zeal ought to be wider than the universe

Don't make the mistake of thinking that true devotion consists in having a relish for prayer. The opposite is true.

Days filled with the cross are capital days for heaven ... Only the cross will make you advance, so expect it then !

You can't use the same methods every time, they work on the first occasion and  fail on the next hundred. You have to vary them.

How much more painful is the fast that comes from our actions than that from the privation of food.

Time is short, evening will soon overtake us , so don't let us set any limits to our generosity towards God.

More than ever I see the need for strong, brave, generous souls who are afraid of nothing on this earth execpt sin and displeasing God.

Gentleness is necessary for us and we do not remain serene and peaceful unless we have real virtue. We must have the strength of Christian sweetness.

Let us go to Bethlehem to enter with the Blessed Virgin and St. Joseph, to study there the lessons of  humility  and poverty which they preach to us.

I embrace you, one by one in the heart of my Jesus in His holy crib. He will allow us to do whatever we like, provided we glorify His Father.

26. DECEMBER

Peace is so precious a treasure that it cannot be bought at too dear a price. to preserve it, let us sacrifice our personal views.

Laugh at your touchiness and get on with what God wants.

With courage and love, even those who are weakest can follow the path god has marked out for us.

God is always faithful to his promises. He has promised to be with us in our trials if we place all our confidence in Him

30. DECEMBER

Let us go on from day to day .... there must be no looking back upon the past, no anxieties about the future. i repeat, about the future.

31. DECEMBER

I wish you a happy ending of the year. i am confident that the good God will bless all the resolutions you have taken.
